Sculpted.

Contributed by Raggie on Saturday, 19th May 2012 @ 07:24:55 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Cast iron rails, forged from determined destiny,

doth lead full sails, toward the very death of me.

Yet, on some hard days, they must keep life's breath, fresh for me.

To stay my demise,

along their mysterious merry way.

Once they sent fair love to me, vulnerable upon a tender breeze.

Such a tempting love for me, simply merely mine to please.

And so it went, broken hearted, sobbing upon it's sorry knees.

A lesson learn't, the hardest way.

A candle burnt.

A tragic and unjustly ignored Noh play.

And still they gift me strength, for when I am weak.

My stride long length, within my manner meek.

It matters not, that I must die,

I long since stopped, fighting the reason why.

My green gazed eyes, have far too many rivers cried.

For that part of me, to which I've always easily lied.

I plead.

I pray.

I bleed ,

almost each and everyday.

At times I have been so lost, many trip wires have I crossed.

In search of the elusive permafrost,

melting back into ancient love today.

The cast iron rails, of determined destiny.

May well bring coffin nails, to seal what's left of me.

But I will wring out the very best of me.

And spend this fiery driven breath of me,

my own self determined way.

I will arrive with my banner held high,

to greet my final saffron sky.

'I am sculpted'

are the only words that I shall say.

Sculpted,

every single step along my way.

This is a wonderful poem. I don't know why it never got a comment. You have some talent.

Remaking ourselves is a worthy task, just so long as we don't get lost along the way.
