Soft green Cadillac
Faded from the Nevada sun
Sitting on the curb
One wheel gone
One wheel down
Wheels going nowhere
In the dust
Tires are for Chevy mornings
Not for Caddy evenings
Tires are for running
Roads are for walking
Soft green Cadillac
Chrome remainder of the sunlit
Rust of a desert moonlight wind
Chrome is for the sun
Rust is for the moon
Dirt is dirt
And the wind
Is simply there when you
Need the tears of god

I can picture this and the feelings behind it great descriptive lines creating a real nostalgia.I'm definitely there looking down that road in the scorching sun. |
