I heald you in my arms so tight,
Being a mother scared me so much,
But looking into your eyes made it right,
I loved it when I felt your soft touch.
You got older and discovered new tricks,
This made me ever so proud,
You got what you wanted in a finger click,
And if you didn't you screamed very loud.
You reached the 'independant' age,
And wanted to expand and explore,
So I helped you to go out and engaged,
And guided you through every door.
You met a man and you fled the nest,
But that didn't last for long,
You came back for mum when he started to pest,
And I told you he was wrong.
Now my princess you are grown,
So beautiful like art,
You have a family of your own,
But you'll always be my baby at heart.
