To the girl that I continually try to impress, caress and test,
ultimately causing me to evolve into levels of stress
That I have not met or strive to connect.
Trying to compete with the elemental nature of destiny
Who has such success at making me feel indubitably blessed
To be a part of such a terrific mess
Then turns around stabs me in the chest
With no regret. Myself watching the blood drip to the floor,
In sync with my heartbeat that beats for the one I adore.
Shining brown eyes piercing into soul.
Reviving me as it kills me. Trying to condemn me.
But still I rise.

I enjoyed this poem (strictly in a relatable way). She doesn't know what she's missing! Well written. Keep writing! :) |
