To all Moms on Mother's Day

this is to all the mothers
I'd simply like to say
I hope all moms find happiness
on this precious day

the sacrifices you made for us
not many people see
most are overlooked
but not by me

you always seem to be there
Rather your child is wrong or right
no matter what we have done
or be it day or night

we need to tell you thank you
& that we're sorry too
for the many times we've caused you pain
but still you stand so true

we love you & we need you
we wouldn't be here without your touch
you need to know with all our hearts
we love you very much

there is no way to thank you
for all the things you do
from giving us all you have
& the love that's always true

so to all moms that can see this
I simply want to say
we'll always love you & need you
& happy Mothers day
the hot shot poet
