Longing To Breathe

Give me a body of water
so pure and crystalline.
I don't care
how minute or infinite,
I'll contort any aspiration.
Just give me that
cool, translucent water
where I can glide effortlessly
with my eyes wide open,
no murkiness welling up
my vision with warm tears,
drowning a deadweight of brittle clay
in molten fear.
Give me a body of water
so unadulterated
that I can audaciously traverse
any wave,
afloat
with sand, rocks and shell
grazing my taut,impervious exterior,
washing up
on the shores of liberation,
breathing through bubbles
of clarity.

This is filled with bright imagery, and hidden comment. I liked the flow and the emotion it pulled. Great write. Thank you for sharing. P
