To the light we march, a nation we lead.
The pain of having to watch our friends bleed.
The unthinkable is at the tip of our fingers.
As our heroics, and the death toll lingers.
War is good for no man, it causes nothing but pain.
Mothers watching there’s son’s lives just wash down the drain.
When did killing someone become the right path towards peace?
As we sit on the front line, waiting for the gun shots to cease.
The faces of our loves ones are the only things keeping us going.
Will there ever be a winner, what kind of message are we showing.
What do we really fight for, no one will ever know.
How many more lives are we going to owe?
For our country we stand, for our country we fight.
Hoping one day we can stop, hoping the future will be bright.
