Rebellious Heart

Contributed by desciple on Tuesday, 8th May 2012 @ 02:40:06 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

For some time I’ve been fighting with these emotions,
The way we loved each other,
Kissed, touched, caressed one another.
Sweet memories of yesterdays bliss…
Puts my rebellious heart to reminisce.
Heart heavy, living in a hazy mist.
I cant believe loving someone,
Would screw my world up like this.
Endless nights where I thought It would never end.
How could I even dare to even think that it would…
Well, it did,
Like a fool, I stood there with nothing,
Just loving you.
Rebellious Heart,
Cant you understand, That the pain doesn’t last forever,
And tomorrow cant be here fast enough.
They tell us to hang in,
I know its hard,
But its been rough,
Missing the way the sunlight kissed your skin,
At the first sight of the suns mornings rays.
Missing the affection in public you would display…
Silly of me, now that I think back.
Why?? Did I push them away.
All I want to do is embrace every bit of you.
Rebellious Heart,
Foolish to think it would last forever.
Impoverished in love since I lost my treasure.
Silhouettes in the darkness remind me of you,
The wind cries your voice,
As if you were calling for me.
Rebellious Heart,
I just want to be free.
Imprisoned by the simple thought of her.
Now that your gone,
I didn’t want it this way.
Rebellious Heart,
Forget the embrace, her face…
The sexuality of her body in that negligee.
Rebellious Heart,
Please listen…
Cant you understand, That the pain doesn’t last forever,
And tomorrow cant be here fast enough.
They tell us to hang in,
I know its hard,
But its been rough…please,
Rebellious Heart.

Nothing defines a writer better than the first poem. This is a good one and a sad one. Your poetry surprises me, I expected you to be someone else, a memory of a place I used to be, but you are who you are and I am happy for that. One day I shall have to tell you my story.
