Expectation

You’re looking forward to an event
Anticipating coming function
Eager, impatience, expectations
What will it be like?
What will happen?
Your mind fills in the blanks

Sometimes you are surprised, astonished
Sometimes it’s a spectacular, an epic
Sometimes it is a letdown
But your anticipation of things sends your heart a flutter
You can’t sleep, your nervous

Expectations, we all fill in the missing parts
The dreams of a reality not real
If you expect a little and get a lot
You’re bound to feel happier
If you expect a lot and get little in return
You end up so disappointed

Such sweet honest truth within your words. Been on that plane many times. Really great write, and flows so smooth. Thank you for sharing.
