The Wars

Topic: oops

Take one look at yourself
Appreciate every breathe
Look who you have become
Lower than the lowest scum
A helpless infant
Cant even suck his own thumb
Wont stop to see
The store is plum all out of fun
On the run
The run-away bides his time…

Interchangeable are the songs
From one season to another
From one person to his brother
They cry
They sing
They hum along together
They beat their drums
To the march of their own souls
To the darkness of his own holes

Far below
The wilderness grows
Weeds obscure
The tall trees
The soft breeze
The wonder that sees
All the beauty caught up in your face
Chase me away

Stop the stimulation
Practice makes perfect
If you hear my name
Call it
Own it
I don’t condone it
Im just a participant
A lowly witness
Not reliably consistent
Purely out of habit
Always a constant
Struggle
Between good and evil

So where are you tonight?
Just where were we
Stop me if you’ve heard this before
If you have been to the suprise party
and left through the back door
Just tell me that your done
So I can roll over
and beg you for more
Tell me who has won
this battle of that war
