selfstruggles

Oh wicked tide of procrastination
preventing what may and ought to occur
Locking said victim in sea of incompleteness
in its depths containing what might have been
Lift this haze I say
and accomplish accomplishments
in a new light of amazing finish
Writers block forever banished
and free flowing rivers
fill tributaries with immaculate prose
I am failure personified
as defined by said I
never realizing completion
like the May fly born in July
In the end it does not matter
voices remind
Hallucinations of grandeur
mimic the intoxicating nature of mother earth

Definitely relatable, deviates a bit from the primary topic on the last 4 lines. Otherwise I like your metaphors especially "Free flowing rivers" - a very effective visual metaphor. |
