As a child, I would sit at the façade of a crumbling brick wall.
I would stare out across the vacant face of an airstrip and dream.
The dreams I dreamed then have passed.
In the turmoil of life, I have forgotten them.
In my heart I know
The dreams I dreamed were beautiful.
The simple scars of time.

"Wounds may heal and pain relieved but scars remain with youthful zeal"
I love the last 2 line. Poetic. I've read through your poems and although I haven't commented on all of them I think you a talented poet |
