A long journey among the hills.
Shivering in the cold of night;
Hunger growling at me.
I finally reach the summit,
Looking down at the little town.
The pounding of my heart grows;
The eeriness of silence.
What has happened to this poor town?
No laughter, nor cry; no music, nor light.
Only the screaming of my heart.
The waves of sky spread about me.
My restlessness grows.
The twinkling of stars;
The laughter of the moon.
Oh, starry, starry night.

I'm not sure about the beginning of the peice. Something doesn't quite flow right for me. Something about the last line..
I do like the ending of the poem.
I got a chance to go see Vincent's museum in Holand and saw both versions of Starry Night in Chicago. Awe inspirering.
