Our imaginations are vivid
all to livid
the way we think
christian left
so alike
like clones in the making
we need to open up
and quit faking
What if its not real
its just a lie
would you have lived a full life
Full of pride?
Be an individual
Dont follow the crowd
Dont beleive the rumors
Think your thoughts aloud
If there is an afterlife
Wont they understand
For to be your own person
Is not to worsen
what if its not true
and youve been robbed through and through'
your life is controlled
by a single denomination
defeat them with your will
dont collapse under pressure
for it is you who will prevail
and at the end of your run "exhale"
for it is you...who have won

| Nice poem. Good to be reminded that questioning is critical, even to beleif. Can you really beleive something if you haven't first thought it though? On the other hand though, I would tend to disagree with the part where you talk about being robbed by religion. I would rather live my life beleiveing in something even if it turns out wrong than to live for myself. Excellent poem! |

Yip - you're right - we should question - I
question mine all the time, and I always come
to the same conclusion ........
I would rather believe that a more powerful
force than anything on earth has put me to
the test and then find out that there isn't, than
believe that there isn't and find out that there
is!
Certainly a thought-provoking piece.
