Should we cross the Rubicon?

Sound the pibroch loud and high
but let us not sink into memory of past heroic deeds
nor congenially discharge all knowledge of misdeeds.
Our history is written in the hills;
so much pride, so much guilt.

We are here where we are because of who we were.
And are we so different now?
Do we want the freedom to carve our own destiny
or just the opportunity to mourn not having it?
And if we scotch the chance, who should we blame?

If fear is the guiding light then snap the pibroch,
one half for recoil, the other for hesitation - and bury it.
If trust and inspiration rule the psyche
then step forward, unbounded, into the partial unknown;
and sound the pibroch loud and high.

Nicely written my friend:). I will admit I am out of the loop as far as really not knowing what is going on( I try not to know what is going on here either most times) news depresses me. I do wish peace and happiness for the Scotch, my ancestry is Scottish:) I would really love to hear from you and get an update so I am not so clueless. Beautiful work as always.

Hugs
Michelle
