Roads
I have been many roads
Crossed the waters of the world
Swam the China Sea
Fused the effigies of war
I have lived the seaboard waltz
Watched the blue Pacific
Break with silver waves
And dance the heart away
I have seen the Eiffel burn with light
In the Paris night
Walked the Verdun fields
Where nothing grows
Learned the pain of love
Caught the essence of the dew
But have never found again
The ecstasy of you

Flowing and beautiful poem touched with a bit of sadness. Lovely verse.
