The Gathering of the Crows

Contributed by northernlights on Monday, 23rd April 2012 @ 02:48:59 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Death’s door ajar

Life almost spent, yet strength to hold my gaze.

The inner circle of judgement broken by compassion and

There facing me the rules of Nature.

No place for the weak.

Were I to take pen and describe the piercing eyes of confusion then furthur

,Compelled use words of the fleshly world, whilst

walking yet deeper into understanding, into the world of veils

Of secrets.of dread.

Where fearful souls long for answers hypnotised by the

Windows of the souls of the dead.

A gathering, circle inside circle, an order, a frenzy, before claiming

life to strengthen the future, stamping on hope.

There the endless darkness, scrutiny, final moments accepting fate
,
I will never forget, For they the dark priests gathering at Death’s call

oracles of impending demise, winged messengers watching and waiting as you

breathe your last.

One sunny day, Timotheus was walking along in poetry land when he happened upon death's door ajar. *whistling* he, with cocky and fearless attitude, walked towards the door when he spied a note left by the great and wise poetess of Northernlights Anna. Curious as to what knowledge said note held within, he opened and read it. EEEEEEEEEEEEEE

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ... little Timmy boy ran away screaming, I aint goin in there!!!!

Freaking A, this scared me. Definitely a far cry from the seeing "the light at the end of the tunnel" and feeling peace.

Awesome, my dear Anna.

Hi Anna,

Where there is a gathering of crows, thereto
is darkness and foreboding. A brilliant write
again Anna, and somewhat scary! I do hope
that when I pop my clogs the crows are
blinded by the light!!??

Wonderful, absolutely wonderful. It gave me a dark feeling for a brief second. This poem was surely a poem worth reading.
Thank you for sharing this AMAZING piece!
