Glorious Life

I knew who I was in the deepest of my being
I was dying, I believed
It felt so right
But as I felt I was slipping away
looking at your face brought me back
Back to life
I was falling
It felt so right and relaxing
The sleep of death
To just turn myself off
But as I saw myself slowly slipping into the white abyss
I got scared because I couldn't see your face
And I kept realizing I wasn't breathing
It was so easy to forget and then so hard to make myself breathe again
But seeing your beautiful face brought me back
To life
I was dying, I promise you
It was a struggle
I swear to you, I understood everything
But what I was scared of losing was you
And you brought me back from the dead
Thank you
Had you not been there,
I would have let go
I took too much and with a silent struggle I'm still alive
But if I were to go one day
Slipping into the white abyss
visions of vibrant, detailed beauty
Fading slowly to white
And turning myself off, acceptance of the death
Would be a wonderful way to pass but I'm still here because I love you
And seeing your face before I let myself fade away completely, saved me
Thank you

But I'm still here because I love you! This world for those who walk alone is a very cold one but who could fail to be warmed by the wonderfully rare heartfelt expression of real love and obviously from your writing the power and connection that forms as a result.Writing that inspires and renews faith in mankind.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
