the why

Contributed by me on Wednesday, 7th May 2003 @ 10:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

when dawn breaks loose
and all the dark of night
becomes shadowed by light

the colours reflect on my wall
but the world seems blackened by shadows
ro me

when the rain flirts with my window
and the song of the heavens
echoes outside

the melody plays in my mind
but it sounds discordant, and depressing
to me

if one happens to love me
and the truth of his heart
pursues me

i hear his appeals
but they sound like lies, and deceit
to me

if ever life's beauty comes disguised as an occasion
and reveals the balance of pain and joy
in a sudden burst of understanding

i explore the thought
but the concept seems dark, and distant
to me

when i think i found my purpose
and i feel like i belong
in a hopeful blink of an eye

i blink again
and my dreams are a lie again
to me

in this pain and numb hatred
i realize that i hate what i am doing
to me
