Beliefs,
each one is for you to hold true,
live with virtue.
i am in charge,
even in the large,
for my own life,
so i choose not to strive.
But instead,
each day to shed,
light to the world with perk.
i achieve hark work,
especially because perseverance is rewarded.
fortunately it’s recorded,
so openhearted.
Begin again,
every now and then,
learn to forgive and forget,
implode regret.
engage in family and friends,
for they are there until the end,
so listen and apprehend.
Be in a new light,
exchange dull for bright.
live in harmony,
instead of apathy.
express honesty,
famish mendacity,
so modestly.
Build with doves,
enforced with love.
live in peace,
induce release.
Extend affection,
flatter in each direction.
so be free,
Be who you wanna be,
entirely to live with glee.
live indomitable,
in order to be profitable,
ending as knowledgeable,
forward go to overcome any obstacle,
so possible.
B-e-l-i-e-v-e.
This poem is for my multi-genre project about me. This week the genre is to be about our beliefs, so I wrote this poem. I'm in 9th grade English, and we haven't focused much on poetry. Please tell me if my poem is good, and give me advice. Also, take notice that it is a rhyming acrostic poem, which means the first letter in each line will spell out a secondary message if read in sequence, in this case the message is beliefs repeating. Thank you.(:
Oh and also is it okay if I have the poem all lowercase except for the B's?
