Losing My Hero

Contributed by ShaeBay on Thursday, 19th April 2012 @ 01:41:34 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I watched, I waited, I hoped
Hoped for the day when,
It will all get better.
I prayed for the day,
When you'd even look at me.
You can't even glimpse,
Just take a look and you'll see,
You will see the pain in my eyes.
The pain you had left behind.
Tore out my heart and tossed it,
Tossed it aside like the rest.
Your a cruel and spiteful person.
I cry everyday. You still don't see!
I plead for attention or even..
Some sort of recognition.
I want to be able to remember..
Remember the good times we've shared
The laughs when I was young.
You were my hero.
My savior from all that was evil.
What happened?
The roles switched and you've changed.
You can't even see...
All this pain in me!
Your tearing me apart
With all the lies and cruelty.
You don't deserve your title,
Your place once in my heart,
Will now seize to exist!
You're a dead memory to me.
A lost member of my once great..
Ever so great.. Family.
I called you my hero..
My savior from evil...
But how can I call you those?
I can't even call you my..
Mom.

There is nothing as cruel or heart breaking as the moment one finds that they can not even trust in their own parent. Very sorry that you have to go through such a thing. truly , Doug

Very sad. Everyone, sooner or later, has this dis-appointment. Human nature is such since the fall of Adam, and like begets like. Just remember: there, but for the grace of God, go I. Christ said: "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, pray for those who spitefully use you." How much more - our own family? No one, in all human history ever said, or even thought such, until Christ said it.
