I said "I'll wait for daddy."
she took it the wrong way...
and now their both angry with me,
i've nothing left to say..
I wanted to wait for daddy..
so he could hear her words,
taunting me about mistakes,
thinking she knew because she heard,
i used my only breathe,
to say four helpful words...
so he could protect me from hurtful things,
if only he could hear what needed to be heard.
I screamed "I'll wait for daddy!"
but i couldn't wait any longer,
daddy doesn't see it,
but her words get stronger and stronger...
she said she's tired of excuses,
well, i've got nomore to give,
my heart is black and repulsive,
no place for love to live,
i said i'll wait for daddy...
I'll never say it again,
even if daddy does come...
I'm not the one he defends...

Very emotional, family problems are a pain...in my experience anyway. but great poem
