There’s no one in this world today
Who could treasure you like this guy.
And if by chance there ever was,
Votes combined could only tie!
I’ve painted you in sun’s beautiful light
And forever I confess I weave,
The bristled brushes of my mind,
Against the canvas of my heart I dream.
Words like rivers deep and wide,
Flooded dry and barren ground.
What lifted me to higher plains
Was forever with you I’ve found.
If I live for a thousand years,
Or only one more day,
May I be remembered for cherishing you,
By the things I do and say!
