A golden orb floats up from the ocean.
Frost on a branch expires with a spiky wet motion.
The sun drips like honey inside of my head.
Sitting in awe of a delicate thread.
Moss mottled stones whisper 'come hither'.
Pearls on a web, shiver and quiver.
Butterflies dance over rocks, ever so ancient.
Rugged and worn, incredibly patient.
Those pearls in the web are enchanting my soul.
The beauty of nature, keeping me whole.
Foaming white horses riding the crest of a wave.
The shoreline receding revealing a cave.
Shiny cold water covering briny wet walls.
Squeezing through tight holes into cavernous halls.
Slimy old seaweed, salty old smells.
Broken up crabs, spiraling shells.
Peering into the dark and out through the gloom.
Seeking a seahorse seeking a groom.
Seduced by the sound, of a close breaking wave.
Into the sunlight, out of the cave.
Squinting and barefoot, under the sun.
Poking and prodding, revealing the fun.
Childlike innocence laughing all day.
Waaaaaa, I don't want to leave.
I just want to play.

I am glad I stopped in tonight and found your poems. This is lovely, you write with such vivid images I can hear the waves, smell the sea...... you brought in right here. Nice work.

Hi,
Really enjoyed this - a fine write.
The rhyme, the rhythm, and descriptions that
you could touch, smell and taste.
Well done!
