sharing emotions

Contributed by thehotshotpoet on Friday, 13th April 2012 @ 06:51:55 AM in AEST
Topic: ThankYouPoems

to find emotions
both big and small
ones to be shared
with one & all
I read what is posted
to see what I feel
my heart usually tells me
the ones that are real
I do not know how
the heart just knows it
I assume it's part
of being a poet
I read them all
from joy to pain
The glistening sunshine
to pouring down rain
The ones of heartbreak
that cut like a knife
to the ones of beholding
& loving your wife
some full of sadness
that want life no more
to a lost ship at sea
that has made it to shore
all the feelings
this world could share
if they just knew
that some people care
so write what you're feeling
try to write it well
look for a response
you never can tell
it just takes one person
to read with the heart
you'll feel like somebody care's
& that's where you start
the hot shot poet

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
