have you ever had a day
when everything comes out
all that you've been holding in
explodes without a doupt
sometimes life just grabs us
& ask us what it's for
why do we keep so much inside
instead of opening the door
well I myself I have been there
It's happening right now
I can't explain what causes it
nor can I tell you how
we bottle up emotions
tuck them deep inside
never seeing what is happening
to our dignity & pride
& then when we least expect it
they come back to the top
erasing all the happy thought's
they just come to a stop
we all fight with our feelings
at some point in our life
rather dull & unpainfull
or they cut just like a knife
so don't bottle up emotion's
even if you don't know what to say
just find someone to listen & guide you
& all will be okay

I remember when I was a kid and my brother who was in the Navy was in Vietnam. He for some reason sent a bunch of poetry back home that nobody really wanted. It was all type written, and it came from a buddy he knew who committed suicide.
It was a large stack. I read some of it but didn't understand much of what was being said.
Yes, I write poetry for a reason, and it's for a reason, I think, just like you maybe do sometimes . So I read your poem and it made me think about all the things that make me want to just not want to talk directly to anyone about.I write it, and only to myself alone. But I do want other people to see it, somehow. You write in a public way, but don't want people to think it came from you. I do so too.
Just so they know. And they do. And you are so correct to state it without even talking about any subject in general.
Keep writing. It is a great way to think about internal emotion. Sometimes, do go back, and you might find you forgot saying what you once said. You might not even believe you wrote it all yourself. But, it's good. And there is some truth to it. I think, when people write poetry, they can not help but be honest. That's the definition to true poetry, at least for me.
Peace!

Nice. It's a shame a lot of the rebound poets that I've read nowadays don't write rhyming poems. Mya Angelou writes and a few others do. Rant aside. I like the poem |

love this poem, and i completely agree with muppetman. you want people to see what you write..but not those people who know you, not the people who know who wrote it..it's so hard to explain that concept..but i completely agree. |
