Topic:
war
|
our yellow sun
that rises high
and stands tall
at the centre
we dream
the incomplete dream
to wonder
what woke us
we smell freedom
cooking in a pot
it takes so long
we just wait to taste
we fight the fight
to continue the war
this bloody civil war
the war you lost
but rejoice in your graves
our weapons have changed
our gun is the pen
our ogbunigwe is the paper
we've not grown weak
we fight to win
with our heads
not our hands

With our heads not our hands.............with the powerful voice echoed in experience of being there and of knowing there rises with the smell of hope the glimmer of white wings carrying peace.Your voice brings the picture and our hearts are lifted.Powerful and moving. |
