Desolate Soul

Once a joy to life, hopeful, full of faith
A desolate soul captured, in darkness, she waits
A petrified girl, blood descending from her face
Forced into silence, can't question the mistakes
A scornful apology, a smirk on lover's face
An agonizing heartache, unable to escape...
