internet & kids

Topic: FamilyPoems

sometimes we have to do things
we do not want to do
like taking certain things
that make someone feel true
it is'nt what I like to do
but do my best at being dad
trying to keep my family happy
sometimes it takes everything I have
today I am the bad guy
that I know for sure
I took my daughters I-pod
a simple way to cure
just like any internet
telling strangers what you are
when most you say is not true
that's when she went to far
she is only 13 years old
a huge chunk of my life
when I read what she was saying
it cut just like a knife
a place kids found they could go on
& be someone they are not
it may not seem that much to them
but it really means alot
so if you read my writing I'll say this much for you
internet & kids dont mix, watch closely what they do thehotshotpoet

Man, that's sounds sort of scary. There's an entire world out there and one of the things about the internet is that it seems like a double edged blade. It opens us up to a lot of good things and then bad things too. It brings us closer to both. So, yeah protect those dear little ones (they probably hate being called that) from the ***** predators out there.

Take care and keep expressin' yourself!

Tim

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
