Love

Topic: LovePoetry

What is love?
A question asked by many.
Is there an answer to it though?
Everybody has his own.

Love may be an illusion set into the person's mind,
A way to survive all falls that it beholds.
But as a whole, this cannot be foretold,
That a feeling this beholds is more powerful than words.

Love starts as an interest, a small vibe.
Many may not notice this at all,
But it occurs to many- its alive,
And it foretells what may the future hold.

A small vibe moves onto a spark,
Which can start a flame.
The trick is to hold the spark,
And guide it to the end.

The candle light then burns,
Expressing the feeling within,
The fire growing stronger,
With every minute spent with him.

As passion grows, so does desire,
To be with the person always.
And as the intimacy becomes stronger,
You realize the power he holds.

A forest fire then evolves,
Beholding more than one has known.
For it is strong, as the flames themselves,
Sometimes one struggles to control.

With every look into his eyes,
With every moment spent together,
The fire burns much harder,
That you are unable to eascape.

The feeling love beholds
Is the most amazing ever,
That when it evolves,
To you he only matters.

Some people keep this fire holding up,
But with some it does not last.
The passion decreaing every time,
Water thrown upon its power.

For it may be,
At first you may not find the one.
For this may mean that he is still out there,
Waiting for your soul to find.

To conclude this poem, I can say,
That love is amazing.
But the underside of love,
Is ever so suppressing.....

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
