All the Stars (they fall)

Contributed by WilliamButlerSkates on Friday, 6th April 2012 @ 02:17:54 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Three square meals
One and then the other
and after that one more still

Holding hands
and in the hands things
and holding feet as well

My mind is at peace
resting for the time
and watching stars

Stars start falling
into my world
out of the world above

So much meaning
falling in starthings
from above down to below

All the stars
falling together
yet also alone one by one

Stars fall from the sky
and into my soup
my soup thats made of ranch

I went to the kitchen
and opened the cold
ranch place cabinet

Unscrew the cap
and turn upside down
and ranch flows into my bowl

My bowl undisturbed
excepting of course
for periodic spoonings

A spooning of course
and another as well
and attempt to brunch undisturbed

And then from above
millions of starthings
falling onto and into my bowl

So much meaning
In all the stars
So much meaning and maybe not

Maybe no meaning
contained in falling stars
same not true of bowl of ranch

An epic tour de force of modern poetry that is good. All the best things in life are ranch they say. Indeed.
