The orator sleeps

Contributed by iodinelove on Wednesday, 4th April 2012 @ 10:13:01 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

The orator sleeps
The earthly, autumn mountains open with water
The role of yellow in the sun diminishes
To add to the sky blue starlight the blackness
Of all, giving passage through the light
Of its own name

Of its own name
The heart beats a breadth
Of its own life
Into the brain
With its own water
Into the spirit to maintain
Its form

Its form
Is the shadow of fear in the
Darkness of its own fragmented
Light
Cast down to
Live
To hope for the
Light

Light
Uprooted with the breath
Of the orator
As in his sleep
He dreams

He dreams
The thoughtfulness of love
Lifted up
To bring back the leaves
To set fire to the twigs
He knows only love
His voice said in sleep

His voice said in sleep
The thoughtlessness of love
Until the darkness comes to meet him
Until the rumbling of his breath
Returns

Just playing? Well normally, I guess you would have to start playing if the orator did indeed fall asleep but damn, this reminded me so much of an ol Peter Max poster or drawings in Yellow Submarine. That's where it was taking me. Don't know if that's what you intended but that's where it took me. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! Next time that orator falls asleep, I'm not sure I want to get stuck in his dreams again. I'll control my own imagination, thank you. :)
