Lost
We had it so well, didn’t we?
Then you wanted to change
You wanted to, but I was content
You can guess, what happened next
You thought the grass would be greener on the other side
So you said adios and left our love behind
Now I’m still here, a better me
Creating some cool poetry
From the pain you left me with, gives me strength to battle on
To enjoy the life I have now you’re gone
I didn’t loose you, you lost me
I’m twice the guy I used to be
I’m due to see you soon at a reunion event
I wonder where that decade went
For me an eventful time
I thought of you and us, from time to time, always with a smile
Soon together we will stand
Maybe I’ll shake your hand
Say hi and walk away
Cos it’s you who left me, now it’s my turn to leave you
Lost love it was not meant to be you had kids, I stayed single, free
We both have a story to tell
Mine was cool
I hope yours was hell, lol
Lost a good thing, you can’t get it back?
I’ll drink a toast to old times passed and the new ones to come
Look what you lost, I’m still number one
