heartfelt words,
placed onto a line,
bringing them together,
to create the perfect rhyme,
some of them they come to life,
& show up everywhere,
others are more difficult,
like showing that you care,
mine come from inspiration,
Released straight from the heart,
from dreams of a perfect life,
to a world so torn apart,
Inspired straight out of tragedy,
& dreams that will come true,
doing my best to touch the heart,
that is what I do,
this is the only gift,
that sets my feelings free,
devoted to my poems,
for all the world to see, thehotshotpoet

Poetry is a great gift. I realize that it runs in my bloodline. All I had to do was unlock the door. :)

When I stopped writing for a while my mind was flooded with new ideas. Too bad they we're never written down. Your very right, to let it come from the heart truly shows a window into our lives.
