Languishing In the echo of a splash
I thrash around for some hope on a rope
Trying to wash off the fear that drowns me
Comfort eluding confoundingly
Despair gripping, breath ripping
Lungs in crisis, thinking what ifs
Tears added to mix of bubbles and foam
Dead weight troubles amid enamel and chrome
Knowing not what to think, I start to sink
Then, Buoyed up again by unexpected discovery
Finding within the means of recovery
A trickle of thought so to speak
It’s source unknown, a welcome leak
It tells of strength in letting faith flow
So fear despair and worry may go
Down the plug unable to do harm
The body left wrapped in a towel hug so warm
The soul regains its inner peace
Doubts and qualms have been released
