I counted her fingers and I counted her toes.
Does she know she's the miracle we never could hold?
For the doctors had told us there wasn't a chance.
But our prayers had been answered it was now time to dance.
When she opened her eyes and gave her first smile,
She was looking at me, my precious dear child.
I held her first, then shared with my wife.
And we both prayed out loud thanking Him for new life.
We named her Amy and daddy's girl she will be,
Till we round that sweet corner in Eternity.
I would rock her to sleep singing soft lullabies.
And watch her while breathing and hear her soft sighs.
Each time I took her to her cradle at night,
I would stand gazing at her, through the curtain moonlight.
Don't ever say miracles don't happen today.
And don't try to convince me for I saw one that day.
