Someone

Topic: SadPoetry

Would someone please
Just look into my eyes?
See the pain etched in them,
The one I can’t disguise.
Someone please ask me
Why I wear sunglasses all the time,
If someone would just ask me
I promise I wouldn’t lie.
I can’t get out on my own
I am too afraid,
Would someone help me make my life my own,
Get me out of the path of his rage?
I just need someone to help me,
One person who doesn’t just stare,
Someone to say “How can I help?”
God, just one someone who cares!

This is powerful... so true how people just stand back and stare when someone is being oppressed. Very powerful indeed!

yes, an emotional write to explain the pain of one who is pleading for help. So many people out there are too afraid to get involved, this is why many just stare. But Its not easy just do that. My ex one time pulled me away from a scene and wouldn't let me aid in helping. I called him a whimp, he manhandled me to get away. That person was beaten so badly and the other person got away. so sad. Very good write, hope somone can learn from this.
