TIME TRAVELER'S ADVENTURES #15

(A BIBLICAL BASED SERIES)

My very last adventure
Was still quite fresh in my mind.
I'd never gone two days in a row,
And my machine was working fine.

I thought it time to give it a try
To test it's home built quality.
The blueprints I used were simply great.
I wondered who left them for me.

The key now in the ignition.
The throttle was now in my hand.
I took my foot off the brake,
And I'm off to a long ago land.

The sign at town's end said Bethlehem.
This place was no mystery to me.
I saw the star we sing about.
The night was just so serene.

I heard the cry of a baby.
People were gathered about.
I saw a beautiful young mother,
And I felt a need to shout.

But I held my tongue while people kneeled
I found I was on my knees too.
I heard a voice saying "This is My Son,
Now what are you going to do?"

"I said I'm going to tell others
When I get back to my own time."
The voice replied "that's what you should do,
And you should do it all the time!"

So here I am doing that right now,
Bringing this message of hope to you.
You can decide what to do with this story.
Now tell me what will you do?

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
