Only a fragment,
From how it began.
The way it worked,
Seamlessly in hand.
The thought of it being,
How it would always be.
So distant now,
But not effortlessly.
The hours put in,
Feelings poured out.
Emotions so high,
Never a question or doubt.
Gone so quick,
Such an explosion.
Going from love,
Now feeling so lonesome.
Without a title,
Without a name.
It was never going to happen,
Destiny's to blame.
It will get easier,
But not until you move.
Pick up your heart,
Put on your shoes.
Can't even say,
When to be ready again.
Because waiting is sweet,
The bitter will end.
Okay with the past,
An experience learned.
All wounds heal,
No matter the degree of burn.
Eyes wide shut,
Until the voice becomes clear.
Letting my heart be the guide,
Not letting my head steer.
I will forever be,
A hopeful romantic.
Get over myself,
And the beauty of panic.
Wife, where you are,
I'll be there waiting.
Knowing with my heart,
Not hesitating.
Because love only comes,
Around so often.
In your eyes, heart, and smell,
I want to get lost in.
A smile on my face,
Because I know you're out there.
Patience my virtue,
Love only will bare:
My heart to you,
Every ounce of love I possess.
Eyes wide open,
Heart coming out of my chest.
