Home from your trucking job
But getting ready to go,
To the “old fashion barn dance”
Right off the lake shore.
Lift up your arms and
Wash under your pits.
Don’t forget deodorant,
Or you won’t be a hit!
Put on your cowboy boots,
If you have to pull hard,
Then you have a perfect fit
For any barnyard.
Button up the flannel shirt
And make sure it’s plaid.
Tie on a red kerchief
For you want to look bad.
You rush on down to Lake Shore
This Friday night,
You get there just a little late
But there’s no one else in sight.
You look down at the calendar
Stuck up on your truck dash,
And realize it is Thursday night,
So you go fishing for some bass!
