Broken

Contributed by Bookgoddess on Saturday, 24th March 2012 @ 09:57:45 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I'm so tired of trying to be strong.
I keep convincing myself that nothing else could go wrong.
But this world has a way of leaving me broken.
I'm not fine like I keep saying, so stop asking how I've been.
I can't lie any more, I'm tired of holding everything inside.
I don't want anyone to see my weakness, but I can't hide.
Again, I am broken and I can't pull myself together.
This time I fear I'll be broken forever.

One thing about pain - easier to see than hide. I understand criticism and adversity can really damage one's self-esteem for I've been in that era 5 years ago. But don't give up on yourself just yet, or ever for that matter.
