lay down, rest your tired head
take off your heavy clothes, climb into your quiet bed
relax your sore body, will be an act of pure delight
you've walked the lonely miles, on a long day's journey into night
with lights out, and late company newly gone
you finally sense your sleep, it's time is coming on
when you started out, the sun rising in your face
you looked around this room, and knew you'd found your place
you fought hard, you fought throughout this day
success has come to you, because you always fight this way
you have a strong will, and an even stronger back
there's nothing that you fear, no courage that you lack
but lay down, rest your weary soul
don't worry of your troubles, those you can't control
let God have them, give in to his strength and might
tomorrow let God steer you, on your long day's journey into night...

Oh, I love it. I already like your style. It's great that you've been exploring a little lately, though. :) |
