We hear these shouts every four years.
Yet everything stays the same.
Corruption is not just a fallacy
No matter the party's name.
Millions are spent on elections,
While homeless still roam the streets.
If it wasn't for all of our churches,
A lot of these souls wouldn’t eat.
Power is the only struggle
A politician for life understands.
He is in it for his own glory,
And not for the better of man.
A change of minds is needed.
The people are never heard.
Congress will pass laws that for certain,
The Supreme court will then overturn.
Change is coming for certain.
But you know it's only the face.
For when they are all new and seated,
We shall hear of new disgrace.
The Good Book tells us that mankind,
Will only wax worse and worse.
To be ignorant of this my brethren,
Is to be ignorant of this verse.
If you place all your eggs in one carton,
And then throw your cans on top,
You'll be calling soon for a stock boy,
To come to your aide with a mop!
