The Triumph of Loss
For those who dismiss
Love unrequited
Or those who scoff
And cry infatuation
May you never gather
The flowers of loneliness
In a softly broken soul
Still a dream of falling tears
She became the meaning of loveliness
Still heartache after all the years
She is the essence in the rose
A triumph in the loss of beauty’s tenderness

May you never gather the flowers of loneliness in a softly broken soul........now that is poetry at its most beautiful as the heart speaks in a way no other can speak unless having been there, and wonderfully in your writing expressed that which happens over time,as throw away comments don;t even reach the pain or the effect on your life nor recognises what you carry always. |

Makes you wonder if the object of this poem is still out there, and how closely she resembles the idea behind the writing. |
