88 years inflicts a toll
Is this my Mum that's lying there
A twist in life reversed our roles
It's my job now to give the care
Her eyes search mine to end the pain
To give some peace in these last hours
Watching life’s energy slowly drain
From what was once a Scottish Flower
My heart cries out to help some way
To be the pillar she can lean on
You can go join Dad I softly say
Then with hand in mine, she was gone.

Hi,
Her legacy sparkles when her offspring
can speak so eloquently and so devotedly
of a mother who was truly loved.
The heather bells will ring in Heaven.
