soft whispers fall on quickly closing ears
please don't block them out
or just drown them in your tears
soft whispers spoken under a disappointed moon
an apology was missing
to an insult issued too soon
allow my pleadings to make their way inside
let them reach your heart
where most hurt feelings hide
i own what i said when words touched you like a shove
please grant me a listen
for mine are soft whispers to you, and you are everything i love...
