Daughter

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

My daughter has me very very stressed

in simple things like the way she wants to dress...

Thinks its fine to talk to me with disrespect

Why my authority she wants to test...

I am running thin on patiences Lord

I alone provide room & board...

your name on her lips no more I hear

Losing her to the world, this I fear...

What can it be that entices her so

Theres nothing out there, she must know...

Ive tried to be to her a friend and mom

But in my efforts I feel I have bombed....

Mistakes we all make and there's things I lack

But what do I do Lord to get her back...

She listens to others before she does me

But she's listening to lies of the enemy...

I feel I dont know who she is anymore

she doesnt know what the world has in store ...

Nothing but Confusion, lies and misery

Why cant she take her example from me...

she disgusts me with the words that I hear her say

there not even good if they were play...

she forgets one very important thing

that where she is at now I once have been... :(

All girls pass through a time when they believe whatever their mother is saying is unimportant. Such a phase would soon be over though. Cheer up!
A good, honest write.
Keep writing

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
