Peace

Contributed by Lide on Friday, 9th March 2012 @ 11:01:22 AM in AEST
Topic: political

I have heard the sound of the trumpets
declaring the days before our fathers,
the sound of peace.
I have the heard the cries of our fathers,
seizing and looking on to the mirage of fallacy.

I have seen those who believed in it, and have heard them
like a thousand voices in my head, yet so clearly,
as they believe in peace

i have seen a generation guided to its own destruction by the lesser man
a lesser man indeed. For he teaches them to look the other way.
I see another man holding up the light of serenity
yet no one sees it, blinded by greed and lust
the lesser man draws them away from the truth.
So, i ignored the light and what i saw became a fallacy of its own, illusion.

Have i only believed it, would they not have ask me why i look the other away?
and if they would have, what would i say?
So, i approach the man who holds the light
for doubts clouded my judgement, as the multitude ignores him.
and i asked him why?
i am not an mirage, i only represents those who believes in it,
and it was my inner peace, which i longed for.

Very impressive write.
Will peace ever be achieved?. In my heart of hearts I believe not, but perhaps if everyone hopes in the same way it might just happen.
Thanks for sharing

Steve

Peace is a possibility...if not us, maybe the next generation.
A good write
