They call it the Indian Love Call.
I call it the Call Of The Wild.
It beckons me in the moonlight,
And the winds that speak at night.
I was at the Tail Of The Dragon,
Deals Gap In Tennessee.
It borders with North Carolina,
US 129 is the best to me.
It’s not a road for the squeamish.
But it’s best when driven in the sun.
The world’s best motorcycling road,
No roller coaster could be as much fun.
Curve after curve after curve waits there.
It will be the wildest ride for you and wife.
Foot pegs will be scraping harder than ever,
Don’t sightsee or you will surely lose your life.
Three hundred and eighteen curves
In eleven miles of serpentine road.
It once was called the Cherokee Trail
The lives it’s claimed would make a large truck load.
I’ve ridden the Tail of The Dragon.
It lived up to it’s hype for me to see.
Because of that when traveling northward,
I use another route in NC and Tennessee.
