What's in store for me

anguished
|
The tidal tug of war for my soul
Shaped sharp, defending shorelines
Drowning in the flood of regrets
Still questioning what’s left
Of the boy who once chased the sea
A long lost friend, how it feels to be free
But what is to be freed?
For waves are cosmic couriers
Upholding my downtrodden heart
Crashing. Another. As far as the eye can see
That’s what’s in store for me.
